The children had great fun in Shercock at the Ficheall Chess Tournament. Chess is a game which develops critical thinking, problem solving skills and also teaches children valuable sportmanship qualities. The lucky children were chosen at random and travelled with Mr. Harton and Miss Cosgrove to the tournament. Thanks to Ficheall for organising the tournament and also to Farnahm NS, Castletara NS, Shercock NS, Tunnyduff NS and Butlersbridge NS who the children all got a chance to compete against.
